If you happened to be on Cape today and were told to go fly a kite, peak gusts upwards of 25 mph would have served you well. As the system moves off, Nantucket saw gusts in the low 40 mph range which may speak to the some 634 reported power outages on the island this morning.
For our part, there have been no reported outages and as advertised, temperatures found their way into the low 40’s while now sliding back to the low 20’s this evening resulting in another garden-variety gray day on the Cape.
As a lifelong resident of the outer Cape I was the third generation to pick up the mantel in the family construction business.
