Brian Williams couldn’t dream this up. A winter storm watch is in effect from 7 a.m. Sunday through 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Again, “watch,” Latin for not sure yet, is a safe bet as temperatures look to remain consistent in the mid 30’s throughout the watch window with “feels like” temperatures in the mid to upper 20’s. Rain and sleet look to rule the day Sunday while the heaviest snow amongst the projected 4”-8” is scheduled to fall late Sunday into early Monday.

Northeast winds pick up Sunday afternoon and continue through Monday in the 10-20 mph range with gusts up to 45.

As always, I’ll respond to a watch or warning but comparatively speaking, this appears to be a mediocre beach day. That said, I understand there are several of you on Cape this weekend that may be making the trek back in sloppy weather; be safe.
