Historically speaking we are usually able to grind through the candy corn hangover before the first notable batch of off season weather rolls in but it would appear as though Mother Nature is leaning towards the trick side of the street this go around.

While many are reflexively crying Nor’ Easter, Saturday promises wind out of the east and a complimentary soaker.

A High Wind Watch is in effect and sustained easterly winds look to hover around the 25-35 mph with gusts upwards of 60 mph. This High Wind Watch runs from mid-morning through late afternoon Saturday. It should be noted that a Storm Warning is also in effect and this is ominous moniker is a fancy way of saying High Wind Watch conditions will also exist over Cape Cod Bay i.e. water.

Should we glimpse these conditions, scattered power outages will be all but a certainty though temperatures will range from the upper 40’s to lower 50’s throughout Saturday and climbing steadily into Saturday evening.

I will circle back around noon Saturday.
