Within the last half hour the light mixed flurries have turned to a larger steadier snow. It had been speculated that this mix, and a steady diet of straight rain, would last until midnight. The winds are picking up and the snow is just starting to stick to the ground. NStar, coming off lack luster performances in recent months if not years, appears to be ready for wide spread outages and have already brought in various contractors from out of state. All homes are as prepared as they can be and I anticipate outages anywhere from 12-48 hours. Provided we have power in the morning, I will post a state of conditions first thing.
