On the heels of my now 23rd, “we were planning on coming up last weekend but…” This of course leads into the shout out for Gopher to begin stacking chairs on the lido deck of the Love Boat. No doubt the weather prophets are as giddy as school girls but the current projects, the dozens of current projections, make the hyperbolic spaghetti charts look like a version of Find Waldo in a Jackson Pollock painting. Tomorrow looks like a peach of a day meaning there is reasonable time to police up chairs, yard gnomes and various preventable measures to take before the wind kicks up. I of course will keep everyone posted as conditions develop which at present appear to be somewhere in the area of Sunday afternoon.

As a lifelong resident of the outer Cape I was the third generation to pick up the mantel in the family construction business. In my early twenties, I called the Cape my home on weekends as I spent several years working for a variety of off-Cape commercial construction companies. My site supervision resume includes two supermarkets, two HUD projects, a funeral home and a handful of steel industrial buildings as well as various restaurant and office remodels.
