Revised NStar numbers shows 60% remain out in Orleans and 27% in Eastham. I received a call late last night from a full time resident in Orleans asking how long she had before she had to worry about freezing pipes. The current temperature in her house was 51 degrees so again, when the power goes out the indoor temperature does not match the exterior by default as the house acts as a cooler of sorts. We’re heading back out now and rather than have everyone check in repeatedly in search of new information, I will plan on an 11 a.m. follow up.

As a lifelong resident of the outer Cape I was the third generation to pick up the mantel in the family construction business. In my early twenties, I called the Cape my home on weekends as I spent several years working for a variety of off-Cape commercial construction companies. My site supervision resume includes two supermarkets, two HUD projects, a funeral home and a handful of steel industrial buildings as well as various restaurant and office remodels.
