Often referred to as a grey day in December, our corner of the world will be under a wind advisory from 10 a.m. through 10 p.m. this evening. We are also under a flood watch which will be posted through 1 a.m. Wednesday. As always, an advisory or watch will never be ignored.

Our current temperatures are in the low to mid 40’s and the latest reports out of Chatham claim peak gusts of 31 mph which are expected to reach the 50 mph range later on today. The heaviest rains are expected late this afternoon with downpours moving in this evening.

In spite of the feigned pained expressions delivered by the off-Cape weather celebrities, our being on the edge of this system will bring us nothing more than conditions we’ve endured earlier this fall. While we may realize spotty outages, it is in fact a grey day on the Cape.
