As most are aware, we are under a Tropical Storm Warning as the weather looks to track 150 miles off Nantucket. The criteria for a Tropical Storm Warning include expected sustained winds from 39-73 mph within 36 hours of the from the time it was issued. Quite a wide margin indeed. This large disparity is second only to the projected peak rainfall of 1” – 3”. This storm, as advertised, is one of many garden variety Nor’ Easters we endure each year save for freezing rain, horizontal snow and pipe bursting temperatures. The wind and rain pick up after midnight and drift into obscurity shortly after noon tomorrow. I will circle back in the morning.
